Do you feel like visiting one of the large cities of the Netherlands? Leiden, The Hague, Rotterdam, Haarlem and Amsterdam are quickly and easily reached by car or public transport from Camping De Zuidduinen. In addition to hours of shopping fun, these cities also offer various attractions which are worth a visit. 

Leiden
With its beautiful canals and traditional Dutch almshouses, Leiden is unquestionably worthwhile a visit. Follow the "Leiden Loper" and let it lead you along the most beautiful spots of the city. The birthplace of Rembrandt has a rich history that will surely please you. The town hosts a number of famous Dutch museums. The Lakenhal Museum, National Museum of Antiquities, Boerhaave Museum and Naturalis are just a sampling of the diverse cultural offerings. Want to see Leiden in a different way? Taking a boat trip is a great way to explore the city. At the end of the day you can relax on one of the many terraces along the canals. Imagine a nice evening beside a beautifully lit Leiden canal with a cool drink in your hand. 

Den Haag
The political capital of our country is in many ways suitable for a day trip. For example, you can visit the Parliament Buildings, the Peace Palace and Madurodam. Certainly Madurodam is a must when you're out with your children. Scheveningen beach lends itself well for a day of sunbathing or a stroll along the boulevard. In the evenings you can also catch a movie at the cinema or try your luck in the casino.

Rotterdam
The port of the Netherlands is characterized by the impressive architecture, with the most famous example Erasmus Bridge. Rotterdam is a city with many opportunities for a day out. A trip through Europe's largest port, take a look at the Euromast or an afternoon to  Blijdorp Zoo are just a few of the many possibilities. With 176 different nationalities Rotterdam has perhaps the most diverse 'food culture' of the Netherlands. An absolute 'must see' is the Market Hall Rotterdam. With its 96 food stalls, the hall is a feast for the eyes. And let's face it, a taste can not hurt ...

Amsterdam
Obviously, our capital should not be missing in the list of great cities. Here you will find the world famous Madame Tussauds, the Rijksmuseum, the  Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank House. Shop until you drop in the lively Kalverstraat and do not forget the Nine Streets.
